Stefano Tassinari

Although a native of Guatemala, Chef Stefano Tassinari's familiar and culinary roots lie in Italy. Born into a legacy of over 50 years in culinary arts, Chef Tassinari was already developing his palette before he could even talk. The Tassinari Family is responsible for bringing the concept of "fine dining" to Guatemala over five decades ago. They have created restaurants, Las Vegas, Al Fresco, Romanello, and most recently Carpaccio. Already established as one of the finest restaurants in Guatemala by Stefano's father, well-known chef, Angelo Tassinari, Carpaccio remains a hub of fine dining and a home for contemporary Italian cuisine in Central America. Three years ago, Stefano Tassinari took the helm of the restaurant as Chef / Owner and through his leadership Carpaccio's menu has been elevated to new heights with Chef's adventurous spirit in the kitchen. Stefano graduated from the Cordon Bleu Institute in Paris, studied with Marcella Hazan in Venice and is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in food manufacturing operations. He resides in Guatemala City with his wife, Ana Regina.
